Give this a try. If you continue to have troubles, please let me know. We've
developed this procedure after assisting other JBA customers. Thank you.

Accounts Payable - 3 Way Match for sessions that end in Status "I" (incomplete)

A 3 Way Match session has two parts

? posting the invoice and matching the
receipt.

Invoice posting can be recovered by doing the same recovery for a regular
incomplete posting session.

1. Identify the session number.
2. Take down the Accounts Payable sub-system (PLBACK3) and have all users stay
out of the accounts payable application.
3. Goto 33/APU. This menu option de-allocates failed posting sessions. The
user will be prompted for the company and session number. After the session is
entered with the leading zero?s press enter. It appears as if nothing happens.
There is only a F3 option at the bottom of the screen. It is ok. (You can
enter multiple session numbers while on this screen.
4. Goto 15/APU. This option runs a query that rebuilds the session(s) that
was previously de-allocated. This job is pretty quick to run.
5. Goto 11/APP, when entering this option there is a header screen. The
screen has the transaction type and period. At the bottom of the screen there
is an F12 Previous function, F12 is how the incomplete invoices are recovered.
After pressing F12, enter the session number. This will give you the option of
completing the processing or canceling the session.
6. If the PLBACK3 has not been re-started before leaving the Accounts Payable
Utilities menu these sessions if completed will go from an ?I? to ?F? ( F is
Finished NOT FAILED). When the subsystem is restarted the session will change
from a ?F? to a ?P? (Posted).

To recover a failed matching portion:

1. Check PMPWC and delete necessary records
2. Additional files for recovery (values should be set to blank or zero for
the related records) are:
Ø File PMP03 Field QINV03
Ø File PMP09 Fields IUOM09, INVD09, GITD09, IPRC09, CRTI09, INVN09, INVT09,
MODI09.
Ø Note both of these files can be accessed with the company number and order
number.

Regarding incomplete A/P sessions (those with a status="I"), has anyone
dealt with recovering these?

We also have the same problems with unprocessed A/P sessions. What we do
to recover in A/P is bring down our subsystem in A/P and run Option 15
in APU Rebuild bal. update data queue. We are following the same
procedure in G/L. We are not live in A/R yet. I hope this helped you.
