The JBA software will handle this message for you. It sounds like you are
using your CL program to submit the reports and not the task definition.
You should really use the task definition to submit jobs into batch, when
this is done a job submition message is sent when the user returns to the
menu.

Place the batch program name in the task definition(batch job) and change
the interactive process to place a 'Y' in the 2nd character of the L#RTCD
field in the LDA (see file LDA for position). By doing this, the menu
handing software will automatically submit the named program job into batch
and send the user a job submission message.

Hope this helps.

Mark.

Subject: Menu Question

This is my first question to the list. I'd like to be able to search an
archive, but there doesn't seem to be one (only for Midrange-L).

I've created some menu options that run my custom reports. The
menu options work fine, but how do I display a "report submitted"
message?

I tried using SNDPGMMSG in my CL that the menu option calls,
but it didn't work. I can see the message in the joblog, but it
doesn't display on the message line on the menu. I also tried
SNDPGMMSG specifying a program queue to send the message
to. All that did was display the message after completely exiting
JBA via F3 (not quite what I wanted!)

If I manually call the CL driver from the JBA menu, the message
displays fine.
