I am trying to validate data from our V5R4 system against a MS SQL database.
I am using ARDGATE to access MS SQL.
I created the RDBDIRE to the MS SQL system.
I am able to CONNECT to that system in STRSQL.
I can run a simple statement - SELECT COUNT(*) from AXTRN01..UNITOFMEASURE
in STRSQL.
I have written a service program to perform this command and the RPG
CONNECTS successfully. Due to the MS SQL name I have had to use dynamic SQL
to try and access the record.
When I run the SELECT in the RPG, I get error SQL error -551 = SQL0551.
Google is not my friend today and it appears that I need some authority
somewhere. Can anyone help?
