I should have probably commented that. The reason I used all variables
instead of constants or literals is that I wanted the example to clearly
show that the logic could dynamically decide what 'function' to perform.

I can easily imagine writing a dynamic tool that builds Rexx on the fly
by reading database records. Records which include the data queue I/O
requirements as well, so as the 'parameter list' changes on the Rexx
side, so too the 'push' / 'queue' / 'pull' changes on the RPG side.
