Hi Marc, the _calculations_ in the older tutorial are in free-form, but the variable and file definitions are in fixed form. The older tutorial also uses the old /FREE and /END-FREE directives to mark off the free-form code.

Free-form for calculations has been available since around the year 2000, so it's unlikely anyone is on a release that doesn't support free-form calculations. But some of the code you're working on might still have fixed-form calculations; this tutorial won't help you with that.
