SQL can do it. Try the following in an SQL screen, like STRSQL:

values(char(hex(12345678901)))

Gives:
VALUES
00000002DFDC1C35

Subject: Char to hex
Sent by: "RPG400-L" <rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

I have a non-blank char field that shows up as blanks in an e-mail. I'm
thinking the field could contain unprintable characters, so I'd like to
include the hex value as well in the e-mail. How do I go about getting the
hex value?

Thanks
