Hello,
I'm trying to/would like to loop thru records in a file using an sql
cursor in an rpg program.
For each record I do some processing, then at the bottom of the loop, mark
the record as having
processed successfully or not, using the cursor/sql by setting the prcflg
value

If anyone has an example or links to an example, it would be much
appreciated.

We are at v7r2 and I'm fetching into an ext desc DS based on the input
file
d edi856wkds e ds extname(edi856wk)

Thanks for any help or examples,

John

What i've sorted out so far:
exec sql declare mycsr856wk cursor for
select *
from edi856wk
where prcflg = ' '
and elcust in (4106,21710,22948)
order by edocn,elline
for update of prcflg;
exec sql open mycsr856wk;
//---
dou ('6' = '9');
clear edi856wkds;
exec sql fetch mycsr856wk into :edi856wkds;
if (SqlCod = 100);
leave;
endif;
exsr @doStuff;
if gErrSw = 'Y'
// Error, set prcflg='E';
else;
// NO error, set prcflg='Y';
endif;
enddo;
//----
exec sql close mycsr856wk;
