Could you clarify what you mean by 'non-error' case? Your code sample
appears to generate a divide-by-zero error and "remove" it from the job log
for 100,000 iterations, which generates perhaps something like 60
milliseconds of overhead per error.

There are two passes through the subroutine.
The first does a divide by 1, thus no error.
The second does a divide by zero, triggering the job log message and
ON-ERROR handling which removes it.
