One solution that I like is to have the options as check boxes which can be set at the top:

Or save real estate by using a separate "Settings" window format if a user's choices seldom change. This of course requires saving a user's settings from session to session.

It makes a certain amount of sense because the fields contain options that are to be applied to any of the items selected from the list.
