I assume you have to prompt your command and enter compile parameters? We use Alan's older tool COMPILE. With it, everything to do the compile is saved in the source. Just one click and nothing to remember.

I tried that. Didn't find it all that useful compared to a CLP for my environment. Like Ken, my service programs have one source member. So creating one boils down to CRTRPGMOD CRTSRVPGM

I put this in a CLP which is front-ended by a CMD. That CMD goes in a PDM option for my PDM colleagues to take (CS instead of 14) or RDi for me. In either case, the familiar workflow is maintained.

That doesn't mean it's not useful. What scenario do you use Make in?
