I don't personally use I or O specs, however we still have some old code
that handles our check calls that do. I would love to see it disappear.

Nothing added after the GA date for 6.1 will be added to SEU. (Even
stuff that was PTFed back to 6.1)

IBM considers SEU "stabilized", meaning they will support SEU, but will
not add any enhancements to it.

I would also not refer to the free-format H, F and D specs as "totally
free", since fixed format is still required for I & O specs. (Though,
hopefully you will transition away from I/O specs, but... still, they
aren't free.)
