After the update to 9.0.1, my "help" became unusable, much as it did when I
first when to 9.0. So, I've fallen back on the PDF as you've referenced
until that gets resolved. PMR open.

The organization of the free-form information is very clear in the help
for RDi 9.0.1 - the latest fix-pack. There's a section dedicated to
free-form there, right after the Language Reference and before the
Programmer's Guide.

Infocenter itself doesn't have anything, so we have to go to the update
RPG Reference PDF, to which there IS a link in Infocenter.

The PDF is, as suggested here, a little difficult to use for the
free-form stuff, although there is a "What's New Since 7.1" that is very
helpful.

Also, changes for 7.1 are marked with a hash (#), while those since 7.1
are marked with a vertical bar (|) - at least, it seems that way - I
didn't find a legend this time for the meaning of the 2 symbols - maybe
at the end of the manual.

So for me, the best place to find documentation is the help for RDi
after you update to 9.0.1.

Taken directly from the new RPG manual, page 5-80. I grant you that
locating this wasn't as intuitive as I'd hoped... it's not in the error
handling section with the rest of the PSDS information; it's in chapter
5 'Specifications'. All the new stuff is in there... And there are
also some examples of fully free elsewhere in the manual as well.
