Has anyone put this ("remove source line length limits") in as a requirement to IBM?

Simply wrapping the output in the compiler listing is an easy workaround. Or truncating, even... I mean.. to me, the compiler listing is just a quick way of finding the things I missed when writing the code so I could fix them. Just knowing the line/position of the error is really all I need.

There is a finite limit- printer files can be created with a width of 378
columns in i 7.1. Not advocating going that wide, but there's certainly
room for expansion from 73 characters without wrapping source lines on
compiler listings.
