value of TRUE or FALSE My understanding is this: The %FOUND BIF will
return a logical TRUE or FALSE so *IN41 will be set to the opposite
value. A FOUND condition will set *IN41 OFF. Result would be like
using CHAIN in fixed format with 41 specified.

I would be thinking that was done either for a display file or logice
further down.

Does this program have a mixture of fixed and free format code in it?
