Peter
From what I remember, the sub file will "respect" the default value for
a field only as defined in the file record format.

Subject: DDS examples of the use of default values on a field defined in the SFL format

Hi list!

I do not want to code the solution in RPG before exploring the possibilities first using DDS. I am using a subfile and I want to have a default value of 'N" in a flag field. So far, I believe that the existing keywords work only on the RECORD format and not in SFL ... please correct me if I am wrong.

If so, can you send me some links where I can see these types of examples?

TIA,
Peter Vidal
