I believe the most accurate description would be I played on it. I was a
Systems Engineer for IBM out of St. Louis working primarily on S/38 and
somehow the thought of "lugging" home a 38 and a few 3370s didn't appeal to
either me or my wife :)

You could leave it in your car overnight at 20 below, bring it in, plug it
in and it would work. Tape wouldn't read because there was frost on the
read/write heads.

The "luggable" indeed. When I first started with IBM I used to lug one home
pretty much every evening while writing a BASIC program to play chess on
the 5100. Found out the hard way that the BASIC subroutine stack had a
limit of 25 levels...
