That sounds like a statement of experience only; i.e. does not reflect a statement of support from IBM. So [for the OP as well]... Unless there is a statement that the feature is not supported, I would expect that licensed support would be able to assist to get past such issues [if they were to occur also for the OP], or point to the document showing there is no longer support after some level of Win.
