Can't be sue. But I'm suspecting that this line "if %xlate(lo:up:%subst(name:entry.d_namelen-3:4))='.NSF';" is the cause of problem. In the dump, I see value of D_NAMELEN is 1. So, 1 - 3 gives you -2, which the %subst guy might not like that.
