Because we can update >if< we use a "correlated sub-query",
maybe a view constructed that way would support an
update of a view based on a "join".

Ok, I take it back....

I could have sworn I'd done this in the past....basically as long as the DB could tie each record in the joined LF to a single record in the PF it would allow you to update (that's how join SQL views work)...

But in searching for a reference all I find is posts saying it can't be done...

Huh?!? Did you just say that DDS join-logicals can now be opened for
update? When did that happen? And with what constraints on what can be
