If you're open to using Python (http://www.iseriespython.com), you
could use regular expressions and dictionaries as follows (note I
added a negative sign for one of the values, for illustrative
purposes):

import re

x = 'L=19.3000A=-19.43M=21.7700LS=19.93AS=19.93CB=19.1600'

pattern = re.compile(r'([A-Z]+)=([0-9.-]+)')

data = {}
while x:
m = pattern.match(x)
data[m.group(1)] = float(m.group(2))
x = x[m.end():]
print data

The above program prints the following:

{'A': -19.43, 'CB': 19.16, 'M': 21.77, 'L': 19.3, 'AS': 19.93, 'LS': 19.93}

If you use iSeries Python, you can easily interface this with whatever
is on your i.
