Have a co-worker that is still defining ON/OFF as 1 byte character fields then coding *IN31    IFEQ ON...WHY? I really don't know.

I prefer never to see *Zeros. *Blanks is not as bad until a programmer
starts coding *Blanks inside CL programs because they are used to them.
Which, by the way, causes the field to contain the value '*Blanks'.
