Do you get any results if you try the RDBIMPORT command? Is the remote table on another IBM i? I had problems with their stock DB2I connection type, and had to create my own JDBC driver and connection string to get date and time formats to function correctly...

Subject: ProData RDBConnect error "RDB9999 null"

On a v5r4 machine running Prodata's RDBConnect software (RDB30), I'm
trying to use RDBConnect to copy a table from one database to another.
The RDBAddRec procedure gets an error and RDBError returns an error code
of RDB9999 and error text of "null". From looking at RDBMSGF, RDB9999
is a general purpose message like CPF9898 or CPF9897. The "null" isn't
too helpful, but implies that some field is null.

The table in question does have a field named MEMO, type G, which allows
nulls. However, per the RDBConnect manual, I'm using a data structure
that matches the output of the RDBFIELDS command, which omits the MEMO
field.

Has anyone used RDBConnect to add a record to a table that has a
null-capable field? I tried the Prodata community forum but no one has
posted since 2008, and in any case, registration on the forum is disabled.
