Of course, RPG is dying. No one is teaching it anymore and all the young people coming out of school are learning Java and C#, object oriented programming languages. ILE RPG is a good language but it is still a structured programming language and what you can do is limited. I love writing ILE RPG but the future and really the present are object oriented languages.

Also, RPG is dying simply because most of the people working on it are still writing monolith RPG. It has been 20 years and ILE RPG has still almost no penetration. 5%, !%?
