Mark,
My first guess would be that getBatchSize does not return a numeric (or integer) type. A Boolean, perhaps? If it returns a Boolean, you need to revise the right side of your eval, e.g., batchSize = '0'
Or should your D-spec for batchSize define it as a numeric (or integer)? Don't know your intent, but the compiler is telling you that batchSize is not an numeric/integer that would be compatible with the zero on the right of the equal sign.

I'm getting a
*RNF7416 30 004456 The types of the right and left hand side do not match in
the EVAL operation.

In the following code:
0044.53 DbatchSize S like(getBatchSize)
0044.54 Di_batchSize S 5i 0
0044.55
0044.56 C/exec sql

0044.58 C+ FROM Pmodel
0044.59 C+ WHERE pmpmtp || pmpmnm =

0044.61 C+ FROM Rmodel
0044.62 C+ WHERE rdschd = :rsNum
0044.63 C+ AND rdmstp = ' ')
0044.64 C/end-exec
0044.65

0044.67 C eval batchSize = 0
0044.68 C endif
0044.69
0044.70 C return batchSize

Anyone know why?

Thanks
