IMHO, RUNRMTCMD is a great choice for batch applications, but a poor
choice for interactive ones.

STRPCCMD is a great choice for interactive applications. The only
weakness is the 128-char limit of teh command line you pass to
it...but the archives show plenty of ways around that.

Not sure what ShellExecuteA is, but you can use RUNRMTCMD to execute
code on a PC. There are different ways of doing it. Aaron has
RPG2Desktop - http://www.mcpressonline.com/tips-techniques/rpg/techtip-rpg-talks-to-the-desktop.html.
Search the archives for Scott's inputs to this discussion. I've done
it a lot with RUNRMTCMD and the iSeries Incoming Remote Command
process.

Is there an equivalent of ShellExecuteA that can be run from an RPGIV
