I have used Gentran from Sterling software. Looks like IBM bought Sterling. It works on the iSeries.

Okay, so I should have said, can you recommend a couple resources? I
know Google quite well and would have hit Google tonight when I start
working on that project again. But product/tool recommendations would
be greatly appreciated so I can filter through the crap on Google and
find the good stuff.
