Apar has been created for this problem. We should have a ptf available to correct this problem in 6 to 8 weeks. To circumvent the problem the customer can change his code to specify the same size Varying keyword for the passed parameter and the parameter definition.
As I wrote in a previous posting, a workaround that doesn't require changing datatypes is using an expression while passing the Varying, for example %SubSt(Varying: 1).
