Hi Mike,

try the following:

( Select * from Table1
Except
Select * from Table2)
Union
( Select * from Table2
Except
Select * from Table1)

If all rows in both tables are identical zero rows are returned.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

This seems to work and could even be used outright in a stored
procedure. Thoughts?

select count(*) from (
select timesheet_code, count(timesheet_code) as count from (
select em_number, prhrt as timesheet_code, prhrsq as hours_summary
from mprlib.v_tshoursumm
union all
select em_number, timesheet_code, hours_summary from mprlib.v_reqhoursumm
order by em_number, timesheet_code ) table
where em_number = :id
group by timesheet_code
having count(timesheet_code) <> 2) table;

Is there a better way to do this?
