Thanks, Jon, I should have realized that. Our Toronto office was closed

get the PTF she mentioned and see what happens.

Ah, I was reading the posts for this thread out of order. Joe, I
thought you were waiting for yet another post from me. Although ... it
was only the part about DFTACTGRP(*YES) that triggered me to respond in
the first place; without that, I probably would have stuck to my policy
of staying out of bug-related threads.

I'll be honest, I didn't realize your policy. But then again, there are very few bugs in the compiler that I ever come across, so it's a relatively small universe of issues that might have been examples. In fact, in my experience over several decades it's been such a small universe that I was simply asking for confirmation that my analysis was correct before beginning the PMR process. I just wanted to be sure that I should have seen the value being passed from the previous level.

I recognize this is a hair's-breadth distinction. Confirming that correct behavior is not what is occurring is effectively confirming that the behavior is incorrect; i.e., that a bug exists. So in the future I'll avoid directing such inquiries towards you and instead I'll rely on the (vast!) experience of the list.

Joe
