I needed to add a prompt program to an existing 5250 display program. I sorted out the function of the called program and managed to modify the existing display program to call and display it, but when I return to the calling program, most of the screen components are missing, having been overwritten (presumably) by the called program display.

Seems to me that there is a way to do this but I can't remember what key words and techniques need to be used so that when I prompt and display the called program, the original program retains its screen display components.

I haven't "retrofitted" a display program to do this before. What modifications are needed in the calling program to retain the display and is there anything I need to do in the called program to restore the calling program display?

Thanks.
