I'm not sure I have an answer - I do think that using 'G' as a response is not very useful these days - it is tied very closely to cycle processing. Maybe look for what REALLY happens when you use that response - it does not go to the line that had the error.

Hi all,

Trying to debug a program that has failed. Unfortunately, on pressing 'G' the program restarts a procedure where the first instruction is OPEN Myfile.
The file is closed at the end of the procedure.

Should that be :
if not %open;
open myfile; ?

Is there anyway of closing the file while debugging in order to continue the program?

Thanks.
