What's wrong with

H DatFmt(*EUR)

/free
WMAJDL = %char(%date);
/end-free

It is at least twice as fast, and you don't have all that SQL syntax
confusing the issue. Do you use Exec SQL to do all of your other
assignments?

Sure you can use a big wrench to pound in a nail, but why do that when the
hammer is right there.

Sent by: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi all

This was giving me '30/11/10 '

C/EXEC SQL
C+ SET : WMAJDL = CURRENT DATE
C/END-EXEC

I wanted '30.11.2010'

So I tried :

C/EXEC SQL
C+ SET OPTION DATFMT = *EUR
C/END-EXEC

the editor accepts this but the compiler says position 9 not admitted.
Where is position 9 anyway?

Thanks for your help.
