Barbara's post had the correct terms:
RPG has three types of modules:
- cycle main (main procedure uses the RPG cycle)
- linear main (main procedure does not use the RPG cycle)
- NOMAIN - there is no main procedure


I think Alan is getting (his terms) confused. As setting LR *ON in a
cycle main certainly has an effect.

Setting on LR means nothing in a Main cycle program. It does
not cause initialization or anything else.

I'm getting confused. Main cycle program? Doesn't the Main keyword mean there IS no cycle? Also would the program compile if LR is coded? I haven't tried. I don't think it should.
