decimal parameters in a CALL are processed by the command line
interpreter, which includes the CMD parm of SBMJOB, as 15,5.

The best solution is to create a front end command for the program.

Hello all,

I am attempting to perform a call to an SQLRPGLE program from a CL in batch mode in order to speed up processing, or make it at least appear that way so the screen doesn't hang for the user.  When I perform the simple "CALL PGM(PROOBJ/UNVGRN) PARM(&PPERD)", the program works without error, however, keeps the screen up for the user while it processes which may take up to 2 minutes, leaving the user unable to do anything except wait.  When I change the same statement to a SBMJOB  like the last line in the code below, I receive a data decimal error, however, I have a hard time finding the problem by looking at the dump.  Please help.  The problem line of code or so I think is marked with "à".
