Setfano;

Pre 6.1 you would use this sql after the insert:
Exec SQL
values IDENTITY_VAL_LOCAL() into :EVTRANDID;

With 6.1 you can use:
Exec Sql
Select messageId
Into :logId
From Final Table (
Insert-Statement);

We had a problem with this. Our CMS system (Turnover) does a save/restore on the program to move it to production. During the restore to production something is lost, and the code then fails. As far as I know this has not been fixed.

Subject: Get Auto Increment Values After SQL Insert in the same command

Good moorning to everyone.
My question is :
Is possible retrieve the value of an auto increment field generated after an INSERT SQL in the same command ?

I need something like INSERT INTO TSTTABLE VALUES (DEFAULT) RETURNING ID;

Where ID is the value of the auto genereted file .

Thanks to all .
