Chuck,

You are right, of course. My mistake, I should have written about trying 1
in the RSTASP parameter, as the OP does not uses (as I understand him)
independent ASPs.

My apologies to everyone for the confusion...

The decimal value of one, would imply an ordinary ASP, not an
independent ASP. Only a device name of the latter is supported;
i.e. not a number. There is a separate RSTASP parameter for other
than iASP, but that is unlikely to be the issue.

The OP failed to mention the release, the message identifier, or
if, how, & where the library was created prior to the [failing]
restore object request. Perhaps DSPSAVF RPGDOC may be relevant as well.

Regards, Chuck

I believe that you can specify your own ASP. Try 1...

Just tried to download your RPGDOC utility. When I run the
following restore command it give a message: ASP device
*SAVASPDEV not correct.

RSTOBJ OBJ(*ALL) SAVLIB(RPGDOC) DEV(*SAVF)
SAVF(RPGDOC) RSTLIB(RPGDOC) RSTASPDEV(*SAVASPDEV)

We have no ASP names specified on our system. Any idea how I
can get this downloaded. I know the other option would be to
download the sources & compile them, but I want to avoid that.
