I have the following constants defined in my SQLRPGLE program.

d Active C CONST('Active')
d Pending C CONST('Pending-Active')
d Deactive C CONST('De-Active')
d Final C CONST('DeActive Final')

and I have the following Exec Sql statement in the program

Exec Sql Select Acr6Sern,
Case(AcrStat)
When 'A' Then :Active
When 'P' Then :Pending
When 'D' Then :Deactive
When 'F' Then :Final
End
Into :Serial3C, :Status3C
From ACR0006F
Where Acr6Cusn = :Cusno

This won't compile as the host variables aren't variables but constants. I
also understand that if I changed the constants to variables and initialized
them it would then work.

What I'd like to know is if there is a way to access RPG constants within
SQL statements.

Thanks,

Rob
