RE: Modules, Srv progrqms, binding directories

Greetings fellow cave dweller.
Thanks for restarting this thread. It's aways prompts fascinating replies which I save for future reference. I'm told that we will be adopting a service program approach this year, and I will have the pleasure of playing an important role. At the moment, everything is still bound by copy which can make maintenance difficult, although it would seem easier to understand.

A question : if you are only now going to begin using modules and binding directories, does that mean you only program in RPGIII?

Morning;

Our management has finally decided to climb out of the cave
and begin allowing us to use modules, service programs and
binding directories.

Hooray (I think).!!

We think we know service programs should be added to binding
directories, but have questions about the reason if any to
add modules to binding directories since they can be bound at
CRTPGM time.

So I'm kind of looking for the conventional wizdom on binding
directories.

Appreciate any help you can provide.
