There are many reasons to prefer one over the other, but performance

and/or program size are so far down the list, there isn't
enough paper
in the world to get to that part of the list. Even "I prefer <> to =
because <> is like a little diamond" is higher on the list.


This is the best post I have ever received from any Midrange.com mail list
ever. By far.


Ranks right up there with another one of her sage comments regarding
performance differences between two pieces of code:

"It is like standing on a chair to get closer to the moon."

I love that analogy ....
