Training for new programmer.

I think it is also a good idea to ask the new programmer how he or she
learns best.

Some people want to spend a lot of time studying the language before they
write any code.

Others want to get their 'feet wet' right away and learn as they go. Then as
they encounter things they do not understand, they can go back and research
it and ask questions.

I think the older you get the harder it is to sit and read or study for
extended periods of time.
