I feared (having used QDBRTVFD for its normal purpose before, when I was cleaning all the unsupported hacks out of QuestView) that there would be a performance hit, so I added an internal stopwatch to my test program.

1/200 of a second. On a 170 at V4R4. I think we can live with that.
