I have an RPG pgm where I'm creating a lot of strings and concatenating
them.

I'm looking to see if there is a more efficient way to do it. Currently I'm
creating a string, then trimming the string, creating and trimming a second
string, then concatenating:

string1 = newString(RPGvar1);
string1 = trimString(string1);
string2 = newString(RPGvar2);
string2 = trimString(string2);
string3 = concat(string1:string2);

I think that's 5 String() objects that gets created. Is there a way to
create a string with out needing to trim it?

Thanks!
Phil
