Just curious... implemented as a single or double linked list?

When we had to go over the 16mb, we used one user space to hold the
location of all the user spaces we ended up creating with index
information into them. You can link them together that way.
So it is not really hard to do, I simply did not explain it very well.
The routine is so ingrained it didn't occur to me to expand.
