Aside from that, I don't know what to suggest... can you show me a
simple piece of code that reproduces the same problem?

I was able to create a program that reproduces the problem. I made save
file out of the library and code.

Source is in QSOURCE file. Sample file, service program, binding
directory...everything should be in library. Compiled under V5R4.

FILETEST is main program. Accepts one parameter. Value of parameter
should be ADDUSER or DELETEUSER, which will calls AddUser or DeleteUser
procedure, respectively.

In my test, I called DELETEUSER and got the I/O error. You might have to
recompile FILETEST and then call DeleteUser to trigger error. I did. It
seems once it runs successfully, error doesn't happen again.?
