Before Relase V5R2 to convert character to numeric you either need a MOVE or
MOVEL or one of the C-Functions atof() = Convert to Float or atoi() =
Convert to Integer.

Betreff: Using %DEC with V5R1

The following code produces a compile time error:

*RNF0327 30 1 The first parameter for %DEC or %DECH is not valid.

The definition of TWWSECT is:

155=I A 2 5 TWSSECT
SECT

Code:

If %Dec(TwSSect : 4 : 0) = *Zero

Does anyone have a working example of using this BIF in V5R1.

TIA

Michael
