I am not in PDM and it does not flash - version is v5r3 - can't speak to why it is different from what you say, but there it is. The original poster should really not have had this problem, so far as I can see. I have no special privileges beyond what he has, according to the FAQ for the site.

I am in the initial menu provided by the host - this is on that free partition that the original poster is on, BTW. No QPDA or other product library.

Time to go home and take son out to get some Mexican food - yeehaw!!

If you run it from within PDM, it'll wait for enter key before continuing. (I've never liked that behavior) If you run it without PDM, it'll just flash on/off your scrreen and you won't be able to read it.

If the goal is to have it wait til the user hits enter, don't rely on PDM, get input from the user, that'll always work from anywhere. That's my point.

Yes - and also see my other post, actually running this source code -

...+... 1 ...+... 2 ...+..
/free dsply 'hello world';
*inlr = *on; /end-free
Copy into notepad to see the alignment

That did not just disappear right away - I wonder if he hit Enter twice. Or maybe it's because I put nice spaces around the equal sign - NOT!!
