And yet by your own admission, you do watch the TIOBE index! Why keep
track of the numbers if there's no value to it?

No, I was just observing the narrow window between any post that is even
remotely pro-RPG and your inevitable rebuttal.

Well, possibly, sometimes. I've noticed that sometimes people use faulty
logic in their support of RPG or the iSeries, and I believe that using
faulty arguments reflects badly on the community. That is, if you want
to push RPG and the iSeries outside the community, your reasoning has to
be solid. Or else you run the risk of being written off completely.

Also, I have argued that RPG is not appropriate for certain tasks, such
as CGI programming. But I believe you yourself have made that point too!
