I really did already know this. Don't know why I didn't think to look.
Just started debug because the status wasn't protected, saw the buffers and
went from there.

I can't just turn on *IN33 or use indds, that won't work since I am
writing with the output buffer.

It will work if you specify INDARA in the DDS for the file.

That causes the indicators to be transmitted in a separate buffer - so they
are no longer part of any DS created with ExtName or LikeRec.

That way you get the best of both worlds becuase you can name your
indicators as well as maintain the current scheme.

Adding INDARA will have no impact except Reset or Clear on the record format
will no longer affect the indicators. But since you are doing I/O via a DS
that shouldn't be an issue.
