I am using Scotts' XLPARSER4 service program to read an EXCEL worksheet.
Due to conditions beyond my control, some of the worksheets being sent were created on EXCEL 95 which is not a supported release.  In addition, some worksheets are actually HTML documents with an .XLS suffix allowing EXCEL to open them as if they were worksheets.
I know that when I attempt to access these with the parser routine, that it will return an error.
Is there any way to determine without having to attempt to parse the entire worksheet if it can be processed by the parser?

Thanks,
