In the example I gave I was calling a CLLE. Now if I wanted to make it an RPGLE so I can do a prototyped call, I can't figure out how to code the prototype.

In the caller :

D MAIN PR EXTPGM ( gLibPgm )

D AParm LIKE ( gParm )

gLibPgm = %trim( Mylib) + MyPgm;
Main ( MyParm )

In the called pgm :

D MAIN PR EXTPGM ( 'MYPGM' )

D AParm LIKE ( gParm )

D MAIN PI

D AParm LIKE ( gParm )

How do I get the 2 sources to use the same prototype declaration? I can't put a variable in the place of 'MYPGM'.
What exactly gets bound to the calling program with this type of call? Is there any advantage of using the RPG in place of the CLLE a part from the prototype? In my case, the called program does nothing but pass parameters to another program.

Thanks.
